Cherry Garden has an activity organiser who works 4 days per week and caters for individual's interests, which include gardening, cooking, arts and crafts and word searches to stimulate the mind.

We have access to a small animal farm next door where trips are taken and thoroughly enjoyed. There is an annual barbeque where all relatives and friends attend.

There is a minister who visits on a regular basis and the Catholic Church brings communion to the home on a weekly basis. We have a key worker system for carers, which enabled the service user to get to know one of the carers on a more personal level.

Breakfast is served from 8am. and this can be taken in the dining room or in bedrooms if requested.

Morning coffee is approximately 10.30am, 3 course lunch at 12.15pm, afternoon tea 2.30pm, supper 5.15pm and drinks and snacks around 8.30pm.

Drinks and snacks are available in addition to these times if required. If the service user prefers their main meal in the evening this can be arranged with the cook. There is always a choice of 2 main meals and if both choices are not of choice then the cook will discuss other options. Many service users like to be woken with a cup of tea and this is discussed when developing a care plan.
